Indie Cosmetics !

-How long have you been in the beauty business?

I just recently began actively formulating eyeshadows in January 2013, but Indie Cosmetics was officially created in late 2012. Personally, I have been a makeup addict for about two years.

-What prompted you to start Indie Cosmetics? 

It started with my own personal need for brightly colored eyeshadows. I felt that I could create the bright colors that I love and have control over what ingredients are used and how the makeup is tested. Prior to starting Indie Cosmetics, I was surprised at how many cosmetic companies still test their products on animals. That is why I decided to use vegan and cruelty-free ingredients in my makeup. I also wanted an affordable price point and I feel that as a small company with less overhead, I can accomplish that.

-How long has the company been around?

Although we officially started in late 2012, we have just recently put together our first collection, the Unicorn Collection, in March 2013.

-What is your most popular selling item?

Our first collection, the Unicorn Collection, has been our most popular item. We are looking forward to having more eyeshadow colors and collections very soon.

-What can we expect in 2013?

You can expect to see more eyeshadow collections in 2013. Vegan, cruelty-free, and affordable, as always!

-Tell me a little bit about yourself.

Well, I've been married for 10 years, and I also just recently managed to get the hubby to try formulating an eyeshadow color :) I like to call myself a goofy goober extraordinaire because I am silly and I don't mind having a good laugh at myself.
